Free-standing casts are a beautiful way to capture and cherish a special moment or event.

Whether it’s a free standing hand, foot or paw cast or one of my holding hands cast between siblings, parent & child or grandparent & grandchild, it’s also the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion such as a wedding or special anniversary with a couples holding hands cast.

The Process

My framed and free-standing hand and foot sculptures are created using a gentle technique involving a non-toxic/skin safe moulding material called alginate.

The casting process only takes around a minute and captures every detail of skin texture, wrinkles and creases.

After you leave my studio, meticulous care and attention is given to turn these moulds into plaster ‘sculptures’ of your child's hands and feet.
They are hand painted in your choice of colour.
Your finished casts are then ready to be displayed either free-standing on a plaque or in a frame combination of your choice.
